中信兄弟10日對戰Lamigo桃猿，兄弟本土王牌鄭凱文在5局遭遇大亂流，單局丟掉5分，最後承擔敗投，近期苦吞5連敗，兄弟外籍投手教練列斯特（Les Lancaster）認為，鄭凱文投球狀況其實沒有不好，主要是策略過於保守，沒有積極攻擊打者好球帶。
近8場出賽鄭凱文不僅沒有拿到勝利，而且吞下5連敗，34.1局丟掉28分自責分，防禦率高達7.34，前一次勝投已經是6月10日。
列斯特表示，昨天鄭凱文前4局投的好好，但第5局投球策略上比較保守，沒有進攻打者的好球帶，沒有把球投到捕手要的位置，因此狀況就會出現。
列斯特表示，這段時間鄭凱文雖然沒有贏球，但他不覺得鄭凱文的狀況不好，就如同前面所提的，策略如果過於保守，反而對自己不利。
此外，列斯特表示，幾乎每天都會與鄭凱文交換意見，彼此分享一些概念，討論投球細節，每個投手用球數都有控制，他也認為每個禮拜都有休息2天沒比賽，對於體能調節上應該是沒有問題。
